Terms and conditions of sales:


Per Buyer's Request -
The buyer wishes to cancel this transaction. The order is cancelled by the seller, per the buyer's request. This cancellation option is at the discretion of the seller. REFUND WILL BE THE TOTAL COST -10% (restocking and storage fee + 5% FOR COVER THE PAYPAL FEES) (PAYPAL FEES ARE NOT REFUNDABLE WHEN A REFUND IS DONE).

Item Unavailable / Defective -
Some or all of the items in this order are unavailable.
The items on orders cancelled as Item Unavailable, will automatically be removed from the seller's listings.



Please Note: Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges.
These charges are the buyer's responsibility.
Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying.
These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up - do not confuse them for additional shipping charges.
We do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as "gifts" - US and International government regulations prohibit such behavior.

Import fees are commonly required by the customs service of a country that receives a package originating from another country (in this case, Japan).

Please note that we will not reimburse any customs clearance or import fees that may be charged by the customs service in the country that receives your item.

Restocking Fee Policy
All items are subject to a 25% restocking fee on all returnable items within the 7 days of the purchasing date depending on their condition when returned. Refer to our Returning Policies for more info.

If you placed an order and received free shipping but returned an item and you no longer qualify for the free shipping, you, the buyer, are responsible for paying the original cost of shipping and the return shipping cost.

For example, if you spent 11000 yen but returned an item(s) that cost 6000 yen in shipping, your order total is now 5000 yen after your return. Therefore, you are responsible for the shipping cost.

What is a reasonable restocking fee? It is the percentage of the item’s price depending on type of item and condition when it is returned. Our restocking fee is 25%.

The buyer returns a CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video games, cassette tape, or vinyl record within the return window that has been opened (taken out of the plastic wrap).
Restocking Fee Applied?: Yes. Up to 50% of item's price.

Our policy lasts 7 days. If 7 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers, electronic parts or software older than 15 years or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable)
Book with obvious signs of use
CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video game, cassette tape, or vinyl record that has been opened
Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
Any item that is returned more than 7 days after delivery

Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at japanamusement@gmail.com

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are NON-REFUNDABLE. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

These terms and conditions apply to your purchase from us via this website. You acknowledge that you are fully aware of the contents of these terms and conditions and, on placing any purchase order for any products, you agree to be bound by and accept these terms and conditions.


(a) “Website” or “this website” means "the emporium game shop", the emporium retrogame shop", "the emporium" and "Emporium Retrogaming shop" websites.
(b) “Product(s)” means any products listed as shopping items on this website
(c) “Customer” means a person who orders Product(s) from this website
(d) “Seller” means the owner of this website


The information contained on this Website constitutes an invitation to treat. No information on this Website constitutes an offer by Seller to supply any Product(s).

By placing an order via this Website, the Customer makes an offer to purchase the Product(s) he or she has ordered on these terms and conditions. Seller may or may not accept the Customer’s offer at the Seller’s absolute discretion.

Upon receipt of the Customer’s order, Seller will verify the availability of the Product(s) and the Customer’s credit card or other payment details. Seller has not accepted the Customer’s offer and is not obliged to supply the Product(s) until Seller has shipped the Product(s) and sent an order confirmation to the Customer by email.


Subject to these terms and conditions, Seller may agree to supply the Customer with the Product(s) as specified in the Customer’s order form submitted to Seller via this Website.

When Product(s) have been shipped pursuant to the Customer’s order, Seller will email the Customer to confirm shipment and provide him/her with the tracking code.

The pictures showing the Product(s) in this Website must be identical to the Product(s) as shipped to the Customer. If the Product(s) are in the same, identical condition, they can be listed together and quantity is more than 1, if any of them differs from the other they will be listed separated.

Seller shall have the right to make substitutions and modifications of the specification of the Product(s) ordered by the Customer, provided that such substitutions or modifications will not materially affect the overall performance of the Product(s) or the type of Product(s) ordered by the Customer.


Pricing of Product(s) shall be the price as stipulated on this Website at the time when the Customer places an order with Seller.

All prices are shown in Japanese Yen (JPY) exclusive of value added tax (VAT) and shipping costs. All listed currencies are acceptable for payment, the exchange rate against japanese yen is auto updated every 24 hours.
If your local currency is not listed, you have to choose from one of those available and you will be charged by the currency you have selected.

Upon placing an order with Seller, the Customer shall provide to Seller his or her valid credit card number and other billing information as requested by the Website. Seller will usually charge the credit card at the time the order is placed.
For PayPal payment method, the Customer will be redirected to PayPal site and he/she will have to provide all data requested for logging in, after the payment the Customer will be automatically redirected to this website.

Seller will take all reasonable precautions to keep the details of Customer’s order and payment secure but Seller cannot be held liable for any losses caused as a result of unauthorized access to information provided by the Customer.


Product(s) will be delivered to the delivery address provided by the Customer. Seller will use its discretion in selecting a reputable carrier and appropriate means of delivery.

Risk of loss and damage of Product(s) passes to the Customer on the date when the Product(s) is/are despatched by Seller to the carrier.
Inquiry about lost parcels should be reported after the estimated delivery time depending from the date of dispatch in the tracking site, otherwise, the parcel will be considered lost and no refund/replacement will be given. This is in compliance with our partner service’s restriction in terms of delivery investigations. e.g., Japan Post Airmail should be reported within 14-21 business days or over 1 month for pandemic or others worldwide problems.

Any dates quoted by Seller for the delivery of Product(s) are estimates only and shall not form part of the contract. Seller aims to deliver promptly, however, delays are occasionally inevitable due to unforeseen factors. Seller shall be under no liability for any delay or failure to deliver the Product(s) within the estimated delivery time.
There should also be extraordinary situation in which the carrier could suspend to deliver in specific coutries, such as during the current COVID-19 emergency.
In case the order cannot be despatched due to an extraordinary situation as the one mentioned above, Seller will refund the Customer (see 5.6) and Product(s) will immediately return available on Website

Seller will not be responsible for any tariffs, customs restrictions, customs clearance, or other regulations that apply in countries outside Japan.
It is the responsibility of Customer to pay the charges levied by the authorities and observe the respective regulations of the country in which he or she receives the Product(s).

If an order shipment is un-deliverable/returned, the Product(s) ordered by the Customer will be returned to the Seller at the Customer’s expense which includes delivery charges. The returned Product(s) can be sold to other customers and the Seller shall have no obligation to reserve or re-deliver the returned Product(s) to the Customer.

If an order has been cancelled, a refund will automatically be processed the following business day. Please note that depending on the processing time of the payment provider, refunds may take up to 30 business days to show up on your account.


Used Product(s) are tested before packaging and picture(s) are sent to the Customer as warrancy.
Of course Seller cannot test a game completely, so in case of defective product :

(a) the Product(s) sought to be returned by the Customer was ordered by the Customer via this website;
(b) the Customer shall contact Seller within 3 months the date of purchase and clearly specify the problem, e.g., the amount of time played before the problem appeared;
Note: Damages because of shipping are not covered by our warranty and unfortunately is not accepted for returns or refunds.
(c) the Product(s) is returned in a clean and well-packaged condition; if a damage occurs due to poor package protection, the Product(s) will not be refunded by Seller;
(d) the Customer returns the Product(s) at his/her own expense which will include any customs duties or taxes, the Customer has to choose a tracked service for returning as a guarantee of shipment and delivery, otherwise the Product(s) will not be refunded

IMPORTANT NOTE : in case the Product(s) is a japanese videogame, due to region lock it shall be played on original japanese console.
The Seller shall have no responsibility regarding compatibility issues and it is for the Customer to ensure that his/her console is compatible with the Product(s) ordered, as specified above.
If a japanese game is region free it will be clearly indicated into the Product(s) description and in this case the Product(s) can be returned.

Upon satisfactory return of the Product(s) to the Seller (see 6.1), replacement Product(s) will be shipped to the Customer if the Seller is satisfied that the Product(s) returned by the Customer is defective after suitable tests and inspections by the Seller.
If the replacement Product(s) is not available, a refund of the product price only will be made to the Customer.

If the seller is not satisfied that the returned Product(s) is defective, the Seller will deliver the returned Product(s) to the Customer at the Customer’s own cost.


Seller shall not be liable for any delay or failure in its performance caused by or resulting from acts of God, fire, flood, accident, riot, war, government intervention, embargoes, strikes, labour difficulties, equipment failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Seller. Quantities are subject to availability. In the event of a shortage, Seller may allocate sales and deliveries at its sole discretion.


The Customer acknowledges and agrees that all copyright, trademarks and all other intellectual property rights in all materials and/or content made available as part of the Customer’s use of this Website shall remain at all times vested in Seller or its licensors. The Customer is permitted to use this material only as expressly authorized by Seller or its licensors.

The Customer acknowledges and agrees that the material and content contained within this Website is made available for their personal non-commercial use only and that they may only download such material and content for the purpose of using this Website. The Customer further acknowledges that any other use of the material and content of this Website is strictly prohibited and they agree not to (and agree not to assist or facilitate any third party to) copy, reproduce, transmit, publish, display, distribute, commercially exploit or create derivative works of such material and content.

The prices of the Product(s) paid by the Customer are for the Product(s) and the services described herein and do not include technical data, copyright, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights or proprietary rights of any kind subsisting in the Product(s) or their packaging.


All Product(s) provided in connection with this Website are on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Except as otherwise expressly agreed, Seller makes no representations, warranties, covenants or guarantees of any kind, express or implied, as to the quality, suitability, accuracy or completeness of any information, content, service, or merchandise provided through this Website. Customer expressly agrees that the use of this Website is at his or her sole risk.

To the full extent permissible by applicable law, Seller disclaims all express or implied conditions, representations and warranties, including but not limited to, any implied warranty of merchantability, non-infringement and fitness for a particular purpose.

Subject to this Clause, Seller will not be liable for any loss of income, loss of profits, loss of contracts, loss of data or for any indirect or consequential loss or damage of any kind whatsoever arising and whether caused by tort, breach of contract or otherwise.

Subject to this Clause, Seller’s maximum aggregate liability whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise shall in no circumstances exceed the amount payable by the Customer to Seller in respect of the Product(s) in question.


Failure of Seller to insist upon strict performance of any provisions hereof shall not be deemed a waiver of its right and remedies. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these terms and conditions shall not adversely affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions.


The section headings used herein are for convenience or reference only and do not form a part of these terms and conditions, and no construction or inference shall be derived therefrom.


These terms and conditions including the documents or other sources referred to in these terms and conditions supersede all prior representations understandings and agreements between the Customer and Seller relating to the sale and purchase of the Product(s) ordered by the Customer.


These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed under the laws of Japan. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Japan, being the place where the Customer’s order/offer has been received/accepted.


Seller reserves the right to update, revise or change these terms and conditions, the price of the Product(s) and any other information listed on this Website at any time. Any such changes will take effect when posted on the Website and it is the Customer’s responsibility to read the terms and conditions and confirm the price of the Product(s) on each occasion when he/she uses this Website and the Customer’s continued use of the Website shall signify his/her acceptance to be bound by the latest terms and conditions.
